Shipping Policy

Our Fancy Dress Costumes, Wigs, Masks, and Accessories can be shipped virtually to any address in Australia and the world.



Fancy Dress Land uses the Star Track Express Premium Service to ship all orders throughout Australia.


We offer a flat shipping rate of $9.95 which applies to all orders and will be added to an order in the checkout section of the purchase process. The flat rate means that you can order 1 or 100 items through our store and all you pay is $9.95 for shipping.


The Star Track Express Premium Service estimated delivery times are as follows:


  • NEXT BUSINESS DAY to most metropolitan suburbs of Australian Capital Cities including Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne, Canberra, Adelaide, Perth and Hobart.
  • NEXT BUSINESS DAY to most suburbs of larger regional areas of NSW including Central Coast, Wollongong, Newcastle, Coffs Harbour, Port Macquarie, Ballina, Byron Bay, Wagga Wagga, Tamworth and more.
  • 2 BUSINESS DAYS to most Suburbs of larger regional areas of Victora, Queensland, Tasmania, South Australia, Western Australia and Northern Territory.
  • 2 BUSINESS DAYS to suburbs of Darwin
  • UP TO 5 BUSINESS DAYS to all smaller regional and remote regional areas of Australia.


​All orders that a placed on weekdays (public holidays excluded) and paid for in full prior to 2pm AEST will be dispatched on the same day and the above estimations will apply. We strongly recommend that buyers do not leave purchases to the last minute (that is, the day before needing an item) as from time to time the next business day delivery service can be delayed. These delays are not intentional or for seen at the time an order is placed and as such it is 100% the buyer’s responsibility for purchasing well in advance to ensure that orders can be delivered in time for the buyer’s party or event. 


After we have processed your order we will email you confirmation that your order has been shipped and you will receive an automated email from Star Track Express with your consignment number and details of how to track your consignment online. We strongly recommend that you use the tracking service to monitor your delivery.


In addition to the above Australia Post now charges additional NON Australia Post Courier delivery fees of $8.25 to PO Boxes, Locked Bags, Private Mail Bags or Postal Lockers. As we use Star Track Express for our domestic service these fees apply and as such we do not deliver to PO Boxes, Locked Bags, Private Mail Bags or Postal Lockers. Please ensure that when in the checkout you use a secure Residential or Business mailing address as your delivery address.


Note: All consignments are given 'Authority to Leave' at the purchase address of a buyer. Once the item is delivered it becomes property of the buyer. It is the buyer's responsibility to ensure that they use a safe and secure residential or business delivery address as Fancy Dress Land Pty Ltd accepts no liability for items that are lost or stolen after an order has been delivered. 




Fancy Dress Land uses DHL international shipping to ship all orders to New Zealand.


Our DHL shipping rates to New Zealand are based on weight and are extremely competitive with no hidden costs! The rates start from $8 (AUD) with the average shipping cost for an order around $11 (AUD) and more for heavier orders.


All orders placed before 11am (AEST) will be shipped on that day and delivery time is estimated at 3-7 business days. All tracking information will be emailed to the customer once their order is processed, and delivery can be tracked online through the DHL tracking portal.


If upon attempted delivery you are not home a card will be left to arrange a more appropriate time of delivery. Where possible we do advise to use a business or address where you will be located during standard business hours (Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm – Public Holidays excluded).


Some larger orders may incur a customs or import duty charge which Fancy Dress Land is not liable for. Unfortunately Fancy Dress Land does not have control over these charges and are unable to advise on what (if any) they could be as it is based on your own countries regulations and compliance. Generally speaking most orders under $175 (NZD) will not incur any charges however if there are any doubts please contact us or for more on New Zealand customs and import duty information please visit http://www.customs.govt.nz or http://www.whatsmyduty.org.nz.

Fancy Dress Land uses DHL international shipping to ship all orders to selected countries in Asia and South Pacific.


All orders placed before 11am (AEST) will be shipped on that day and delivery time is estimated at 3-5 business days and up to 10 days for rural areas. All tracking information will be emailed to the customer once their order is processed, and delivery can be tracked online through the DHL tracking portal.


Zone 2 Includes: Cook Islands, Fiji, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Japan, South Korea, Malaysia, New Caledonia, Singapore, Solomon Islands, Thailand, Tonga, Samoa and Vanuatu.

Fancy Dress Land uses DHL international shipping to ship all orders to Great Britain, Western Europe and Scandinavia.  


All orders placed before 11am (AEST) will be shipped on that day and delivery time is estimated at 4-7 business days and up to 12 days for rural areas. All tracking information will be emailed to the customer once their order is processed, and delivery can be tracked online through the DHL tracking portal.


Zone 3 Includes: Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Great Britain, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Spain, Sweden and Switzerland.

All orders placed before 11am (AEST) will be shipped on that day and delivery time is estimated at 3-5 business days and up to 12 days for rural areas. All tracking information will be emailed to the customer once their order is processed, and delivery can be tracked online through the DHL tracking portal.


Zone 4 Includes: USA, Canada, Israel, Jordan, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates and Uzbekistan.

International orders may be subject to local charges. Any customs or import duties and associated fees are charged once the parcel reaches its destination country. These charges must be paid by the recipient of the parcel. We have no control over these charges and cannot predict what they may be. Fancy Dress Land Pty Ltd cannot be held responsible for any additional charges on your order, nor can we accept a return of the order in this case. Customs policies vary widely from country to country, so please contact your local customs office for further information. If you refuse to pay these charges your parcel may be abandoned, and Fancy Dress Land Pty Ltd will not be held responsible for any loss of funds as a result of this occurrence. We cannot mark International orders as a gift in order to bypass or reduce any customs fees. This is an illegal practice and as registered business under Australian and International law we will not do this


FAQ's - Shipping


Q. Do you offer free shipping?


A. No. There is no such thing as free shipping! The truth behind online retailers offering free shipping is that they are adding the shipping costs to the sell price of every single item advertised in their store. This essentially means that when you purchase 2 or more items through an online store that offers Free Shipping, you are paying double or more for shipping costs!


Q. I live locally, and need an item urgently, can I pick up my order?


A. Yes. Please contact us on 02 9997 2488 to arrange a collection time.


Q. I need my order by next business day, or within your estimated time frames, can you guarantee next business day delivery?


A. We do not guarantee next delivery due to unforeseen circumstances. We quote on the delivery standards that are supplied to us through Star Track. As a result we always recommend you do not leave your purchase to the last minute and purchase your items well in advance. This rule of thumb will also give you enough time to exchange your item for another size if need be.


Q. I live in Australia, is there any way I can get an estimation on how long a delivery will take to get to my address?


A. Yes there is. You can go use the Star Track Express “Transit Times” calculator located on their website www.startrack.com.au. When you get to this page simply click on the “Transit Time” link under the “Track and Trace” link and enter “Mona Vale” as senders address, then enter your address, then select “Fixed Price Premium” and then click on “Get Transit Time”. 



Q. My delivery address is in Australia, how do I track my delivery?


A. When we process your order you will receive an email from Star Track Express which will include your consignment number and a details on how to track your delivery. Sometimes these emails can get caught in your ‘Junk mail inbox’ so it is always best to check all email inboxes.


Q. My delivery address is NOT in Australia, how do I track my delivery?


A. When we process your order we will email you all tracking information. Sometimes our emails can get caught in your ‘Junk mail inbox’ so it is always best to check all email inboxes.


Q. My delivery address is in Australia, what should I do if there is an issue with my delivery or tracking information?


A. If you have any issues with tracking your consignment you will need to contact Star Track express on 13 23 45 and quote your consignment number. Star track will give you all the information you require.


Q. My delivery address is in Australia and the Star Track status shows that my item has been delivered BUT I do not and can’t find my package. What should I do?


A. You will need to contact Star Track Express on 13 23 45 and quote your consignment number. Star track will open an investigation which involves speaking to the driver to confirm delivery location and where the parcel was left at your address. In nearly all cases you should be able to find your parcel.
